According to a CBC report, ICBC recently sold three trailers that had been used as marijuana grow operations.

The trailers were available for sale on ICBC’s salvage website, and at least one was sold to a BC resident for just over $3,000.

The sale photographs reveal that some modifications made to the trailers, including working irrigation pipes and grow-lights, were still in place.

The CBC report says that the trailers had been reported stolen by the owners and ICBC paid the claims. After the trailers were recovered during a drug raid by the RCMP, ICBC was deemed to be the legal owner.

ICBC said that it has learned a lot from the experience and has offered to buy back the trailers from the current owners.
