In this role, which is based in Luxembourg, Mr. Van Hoornweder will assume responsibility for RBC Dexia's enterprise-wide risk management strategy and framework.

Mr. Van Hoornweder brings more than 16 years of experience in financial risk management settings to his new role. He joins RBC Dexia from Adinfo in Belgium, where he served as CEO and General Manager. Prior to joining Adinfo in 2005, he held a number of management positions with Dexia Bank, where he led teams in both IT and financial markets management.

With this appointment Mr. Van Hoornweder also becomes the newest member of RBC Dexia's Global Executive Committee.
