Saskatchewan Crop Insurance has extended its deadline for 2009 claims and extension requests.
Originally set with a November 15 deadline, producers now have until December 1 to register claims and insurance extensions.
Saskatchewan Crop Insurance said it recognizes that there is a significant amount of crops left in the field, so the deadline was extended.
Crops unable to be harvested until spring are also eligible for 100 per cent wildlife damage compensation. There are no producer premiums and producers do not require a crop insurance contract to receive this compensation.
