The Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) announced the winners of the 2009 Membership Awards, including three Canadian chapters

The Risk and Insurance Management Society announced the winners of the 2009 Membership Star and SuperStar awards. Initiated in 2008 to acknowledge chapters with exceptional growth rates, Star Awards are bestowed upon those chapters with growth rates of at least 6 percent but less than 9 percent, while SuperStar Awards are granted to those chapters with growth rates of 9 percent or more.

There were seven Membership SuperStar Awards announced, including three Canadian chapters. The Canadian RIMS Chapters recognized are the Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter, which hosted the 2009 RIMS Canada conference, the Saskatchewan Chapter and the RIMS Maritime Chapter, representing New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

Recipients will receive their honors at the Awards Luncheon during the RIMS 2010 Annual Conference and Exhibition in Boston on April 26.
