According to the UK’s Daily Telegraph, AEG Live seems to have secured coverage for the first 10 days of the tour, coverage that is worth about 80 million pounds. But the Telegraph says the remaining dates in the seven month tour have yet to be insured.
Randy Phillips, chief executive of AEG Live, told the paper that his company would be willing to self-insure for the shows to go ahead, but he played down health concerns related to Michael Jackson.
Robertson Taylor, the Music and Entertainment Practice of Oxygen Insurance Brokers, is reported to have placed the coverage on the first ten days.
