The Loyalist Insurance Group has announced its net earnings for 2008 were $2.3 million, compared to a loss of nearly $250,000 in 2007. Loyalist had revenue of $301,000 at year end, compared to $1.75 million in 2007.

The company said its net income was affected by a negative income tax recovery of just over $420,000.
