Automakers are not in the most ideal of business situations at the moment.

In March, Chrysler's sales dropped 39% for the month. Ford’s sales were down 41%. Nissan reported a 38% reduction in sales. Honda too experienced 36% fewer sales.

Not one automaker reported an increase in sales in March. Kia, Hyundai and Subaru fared the best, with "just" single digit drops.
